Why who you surround your self with is important to building wealth:
I once read a quote that said “line up the 5 people you spend the most time with. You are going to end up like them, the average of them. You better be happy with those 5 people”. This is one of the most accurate statements I have ever heard. This is kind of like that idea that suggests that if you hang out with thugs you will become one, if you hang out with nerds - you’ll get dux.
When you are around millionaire mindsets - living frugal in pressing times is less difficult because they are doing the same. Investing and saving instead of splurging and wasting is easy, they are doing it too.
Surrounding yourself in circles who value self development, growth, financial independence will allow you to grow in that direction. Likewise for the opposite…
If you know you want to achieve big things then leaving the thug life is exactly what you need to do in order to achieve it.
